The hotel lies slightly to the south west of central London and is right on the bank of the River Thames, providing direct access to Chelsea Harbour, where guests can view the city by boat, and easy access to the rest of the city. All of the city's most famous tourist attractions are within a 20 minute taxi ride or 30 minute tube ride. The nearest tube station is Imperial Wharf, which is just a five minute walk from the front door of the hotel. The station is serviced by the Overground Line, which provides easy transfers into the city centre.
The Blue Harbour Bar revolves around a grand, 17 metre swimming pool with a sauna and six treatment rooms. The focus is more on relaxing than exercising, though the pool is also good for this as is the fitness suite. There's even a nail bar and hair salon. The Grand Ballroom is great for large conferences or events, with a capacity of 1000 delegates or 500 for an evening event. The view over the marina and south London skyline makes this a romantic and inspiring setting, perfect for weddings. There are three additional breakout rooms available and the events team can help with all stages of planning.
Whilst most quality hotels have a number of suites for guests to stay in, the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour is comprised solely of suites, offering a choice of 154 abodes, all of which make great use of the light and space awarded to them. They feature beautiful furnishings and a warm, autumnal decor. The amenities available in all suites ensure that guests will be kept comfortable and happy and include a satellite TV, minibar, in-room safe, umbrella, bathrobe and faxing facilities. The separate seating areas ensure that guests will be able to spread out and make themselves at home.
Chelsea Riverside Brasserie serves a fine British adaptation of simple and classic traditional meals such as fish and chips. The atmosphere is informal and throughout the day guests might drop in for a quick savoury snack or a grand three course meal. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Guests arriving through one of the city airports will need to make their way to the centre of London. The Heathrow Express drops passengers at Paddington with a travel time of approximately 15 minutes, whilst the Gatwick Express stops at Victoria with a journey lasting approximately 30 minutes. Guests travelling from Paddington should make their way to Notting Hill Gate via the Circle Line, and then on to West Brompton via the District Line. From here, guests should transfer onto the southbound Overground service and alight at Imperial Wharf. Guests travelling from Victoria should take the District Line to West Brompton and repeat the last process on the Overground service. From Imperial Wharf the hotel is a five minute walk around Harbour Avenue and onto Thames Avenue. Alternatively taxi services are available from all airports and railway stations.
Guests arriving by car would do best to leave the M25 at Junction 15, following the M4 toward central London and on to the A4. The A4 becomes West Cromwell Road from where a right turn should be taken on to Warwick Road. Guests should then turn right on to the A308 and left on to Lots Road from where the hotel is on Thames Avenue, just off Chelsea Harbour Drive.
