Very basic accommodation suitable for budget travellers, but good-value regarding its convenient location for sightseeing, shopping and transport. ***LOCATION*** The hotel is centrally located in Bayswater in a green residential square and only 5-min walk from Kensington Gardens. It lies very close to Paddington station (1 stop by tube from Bayswater or a few stops by bus) which has direct train connections to Heathrow airport. There are 2 tube stations in the proximity (Bayswater - nearest & Queensway) giving access to 3 different lines. The surrounding area is full of restaurant and shops including a large shopping centre Whiteleys. A public health centre - Porchester Centre - with gym and a large swimming pool is a short walk from the hotel. The main shopping area - Oxford Street - is only a couple of tube or bus stops away. ***EXTERIOR*** The property is a 6-storey typical residential Victorian building with white facade. ***HOTEL FACILITIES*** 24-hour reception, lift, laundry service. ***ROOMS*** Both rooms and bathrooms are generally small in size. Rooms have very basic and old-fashioned decor. Bathroom fittings are also in need of some renovation. Some rooms overlook the residential square garden. ***RESTAURANTS & BARS*** There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel. Basic continental buffet breakfast is included (cereal, toasts, jam, hot drinks).
