The Strand Palace Hotel is perfectly located for direct access to London’s major tourist areas. It is right in the heart of the West End, with popular locations such as Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly, and Soho just a short walk away. Theatres, restaurants, pubs, bars, and nightclubs are in abundance, as well as attractions such as the Tate Gallery, the British Museum, St Paul’s Cathedral, the London Eye and the Royal Opera House. There are also easy travel options right across London available from the nearby Charing Cross and Waterloo Stations, both in Zone 1. Finally, from Heathrow, you can get the Piccadilly Line direct to Covent Garden Station, within a 10 minute walk of the hotel.
Among the facilities the hotel offers are two separate bars, one of which is situated in the lounge and is open all day. This puts on events such as afternoon tea and champagne afternoons. There is also the Mask Bar, which is open in the evenings and provides a more lively vibe with its range of exotic cocktails and a late closing time of 3am. A business centre and meeting rooms are available for guests who are working whilst at the hotel, and there is also complimentary access to the Virgin Active Gym just 50 metres from the hotel.

Two different types of room are available at the hotel: Club Rooms and Executive Rooms. Both are smartly designed, comfortable and have great amenities, such as satellite-receiving plasma TVs, wireless internet, electric kettle, minibar and bathrobes on request. Executive rooms come with added features however, such as complimentary internet, luxury toiletries, and food and drink discounts. All rooms come with ensuite bathrooms and 24 hour room service.
There are two restaurants provided by the hotel in addition to the food that is available from the lounge bar and 24 hour room service. The Strand Carvery provides a cold buffet and range of traditional British roasts every day, whilst Johnston’s Restaurant has a more refined brasserie feel to it, producing excellent and more varied dishes.
A crib for baby care is provided, and childcare services are also on offer.
The hotel has some rooms with wheelchair access and guide dogs are welcome, but there is no flat entry route to the hotel.
