St. Johns Wood is a highly wealthy, mainly residential area of northwest central London, just beyond Regents Park. Primarily of interest to tourists for the Abbey Road Studios, expensive and beautiful houses, and high concentration of celebrity residents, St. Johns Wood hotels are a great alternative base to the noise and grime of the city centre.
St. Johns Wood hotels are generally fairly expensive and of a high quality, with the most luxurious probably being the five star Europa House Apartments. Situated in the lovely Little Venice area, the apartments have an understated elegance and a large range of electronic entertainment facilities, as well as access to one of London’s best landscaped communal gardens.
Overlooking beautiful Regents Park is the Danubius Hotel, which markets itself primarily towards business guests with a great range of business facilities, but also offers easy access to the extensive grounds of the park, plus Camden Town, Primrose Hill and London Zoo. Alternatively, for more of a budget option, the New Inn is very close to the station and can be found above a charming traditional pub. The New Inn offers not much more than the standard B&B, but both the pub and guesthouse are among the best of their type in the area.
St. Johns Wood Station lies on the Jubilee Line between Swiss Cottage and Baker Street.
