Sloane Square Hotels

Sloane Square is in central London, just west of Victoria and surrounded by the three prestigious districts of Belgravia, Chelsea and Kensington. The area is a mostly residential one and one of London's most fashionable to live in so you'll routinely find yourself rubbing shoulders with London's high society and marveling at the grand houses that line the streets! It's central to most of the city's tourist attractions but is certainly much quieter than, say, Leicester Square or Covent Garden.  Sloane Square is on the Circle and District Lines and close to the major transport hub of Victoria station.

Attractions

The Holy Trinity Church and the National War Museum are both a short walk outside of the square, which is pleasant enough with its refreshing greenery and stone fountain. Lovers of contemporary art will be right at home in the Saatchi Gallery, which is a few minutes southwest of the square, whilst theatregoers will find the Royal Court Theatre conveniently placed right on the square. Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and the Natural History Museum are also within walking distance for those who like to stretch their legs!

Eating

Sloane Square has a relatively good selection of eateries with restaurants serving a range of culinary delights from Lebanese dishes to Japanese cuisine, as well as more homegrown recipes. The Botanist is a typical hangout for the Chelsea crowd and whilst the food is pleasant the atmosphere is an acquired taste! There are a number of cafés too, some of which are more traditional English venues whilst others have specialities that include completely organic menus.

Nightlife

Tucked away in a quieter corner of the city, Sloane Square isn't known for its outrageous nightlife and you should probably expect to have to do a bit of walking if you want to find a party. For a more sophisticated evening, Raffles Nightclub is a chic, upmarket venue just off the main square but you're more likely to find a selection of pubs and, whilst most of them look like traditional English haunts, for the most part they do live up to the area's prestigious reputation.
