The impressive townhouse facade of the Sanctuary House Hotel belies its smart and comfortable interior, which provides great quality and affordable accommodation in a central London location. The hotel can be found near St James's Park train station in the Victoria area, within a short tube ride of most popular tourist attractions and within the city centre, yet benefiting from being in a relatively peaceful area of the city. The leafy retreat of St James's Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral and the Houses of Parliament are all within close proximity of the hotel, and the reception staff will be happy to point you in the direction of any other main sights.

The hotel consists of 34 spacious and beautifully furnished guest rooms, ranging from a plush and fairly classic style to a more contemporary decor. Regardless of the exact design, each room is finished to a very high standard and is a delight to return to at the close of a busy day. In addition to a smart ensuite bathroom, large room sizes and high quality bed linen, the rooms at the Sanctuary House Hotel also come equipped with amenities including WiFi access, satellite television, air conditioning and extras such as a complimentary daily newspaper.

The room we stayed in was very nice. It was beautifully designed and did not at all feel used or worn, as some other hotels do, but quite fresh and new. The hotel is located in an amazing location, with the Underground very close by and Big Ben and the London Eye located not too far away either. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The thing that was the most important to me was its cleanliness. It was very clean and well maintained. I have no complaints, except maybe it may have been a tad overpriced BUT I would defintatly recomend this hotel to anyone.
