With 60 rooms this is a moderately sized hotel, often full with guests without having the busy atmosphere of some of the larger hotels. The bedrooms have a very fresh ambience to them, painted in creams and decorated with pastel blues, paintings overhanging the beds. The restaurant overlooks the busy London Street and is open from 7am to 10am, meaning that guests can watch the world pass them by as they enjoy their bacon, sausages and eggs.
The busy street is best explained by Royal Norfolk's location. Its next door neighbour is Paddington railway station, making this a great destination for those arriving to the city from the rest of the country or from Heathrow Airport. This is also convenient for international guests wishing to explore the rest of the country. Paddington station is situated on the Bakerloo, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines, ideal for tourists and business people alike. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk north of Hyde Park and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.

Those arriving from either of the city's main airports can take the Gatwick Express to Victoria with a journey time of 30 minutes, or the Heathrow Express to Paddington in just half of that. Those arriving at Victoria should then take the Circle Line to Paddington where they will be well placed to walk to the hotel. On leaving Paddington station guests should walk south along London Street towards Hyde Park where they will come across the hotel after just a few minutes.
Guests arriving by car will find that the most direct route to the hotel is to leave the M25 at Junction 16 and take the M40 and subsequently the A40 towards central London. Guests should stay on the A40 Westway through central London, taking a right onto Westbourne Terrace just after passing Westbourne Green. From here guests should take the first left onto Bishop's Bridge Road followed by the first right onto Eastbourne Terrace. Guests should then take the first left and turn right at the end of the road.
