The hotel has the famous Hyde Park as its front garden with a wealth of summertime activities for guests to take part in. It's also within walking distance of Kensington Palace and Gardens and Buckingham Palace and, with Paddington station less than a 10 minute walk away, guests will find the rest of the country at their feet in minutes. The nearest tube station is Lancaster Gate, which is on the Central Line and should take no more than a minute to walk to. Alternatively Paddington is on the Central, District, Bakerloo and Hammersmith & City Lines, offering efficient access to some of the city's other sights such as Covent Garden, Westminster and Greenwich.
If there's one thing Lancaster London knows how to do, it's meetings. For four years in a row the hotel has been voted the best in the country under the 'meetings' category of Meetings and Incentive Travel magazine, and with meeting rooms with capacities ranging from eight to 3000 it's easy to see why. The hotel is able to provide a banqueting service and the venue is suitable for all types of events, from parties to formal celebrations.
The rooms are available in a number of sizes including Superior, Deluxe, Executive and Suite, and the staff believe that it's the details that make your stay a memorable one. The hotel considers satellite TV, American Oak furniture, a minibar and marble en-suite bathrooms with power showers all to be essentials in accommodation.
The hotel has three dining options. Nipa is an authentic Thai restaurant. Inspired by its sister restaurant in Thailand, it features genuine Thai furnishings alongside an a la carte and three fixed menus of sweet and spicy cuisine. Island, on the other hand, serves European dishes as well as breakfast and lunch with magnificent views over Hyde Park. It's also open in the evenings serving drinks and light snacks. The Lounge Bar has a distinctly English theme, serving afternoon tea, scones, pastries and champagne.
Guests arriving by air will find taxis outside all of the city's airports waiting to escort them into the city centre. Alternatively the Heathrow Express takes just 15 minutes to get to Paddington Station, whilst the Gatwick Express takes 30 to get to Victoria. From Paddington station the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk along Sussex Gardens. Alternatively taxis will be available to bring guests to the hotel from Paddington. Those arriving via Victoria should take the Victoria Line to Oxford Circus and change on to the Central Line, which runs to Lancaster Gate tube station. The hotel is just around the corner. Guests arriving by vehicle should follow signs for Hyde Park, central London. Once at Hyde Park the Lancaster Terrace exit will be easily visible from the Bayswater Road, which runs along the north of the park.
