Cartwright Gardens, the home of Mentone Hotel London, has a long history with politics, having once been the home of revolutionary reformer Major John Cartwright. Today the area is home to a group of hotels, but still look out over the Georgian crescent gardens. Since then four tennis courts have been added and guests are welcome both to explore the gardens and to use the tennis courts.
Located in central London, the hotel is close to the West End and Covent Garden with Madame Tussauds, the London Zoo and the British Library all within walking distance. The nearest tube stations are Euston and Russell Square, both of which are less than 10 minutes on foot from the hotel. The former is serviced by the Northern and Victoria Lines, whilst the former is serviced by the Piccadilly. This gives guests the opportunity to explore the rest of the city with minimum fuss.
The hotel remains a popular choice amongst tourists and business visitors, perhaps due to the personal service awarded by its family-run nature.

Guests arriving via the Eurostar will find the hotel most convenient as it is a short walk south from St. Pancras International along the Midland Road. Guests arriving through either of the city's main airports will find the journey into the city centre fairly simple by taking either the Heathrow Express through to Paddington, or the Gatwick Express to Victoria. From Paddington guests can take the Hammersmith & City Line to King's Cross St. Pancras, where they can change on to the Piccadilly Line and continue their journey to Russell Square. Those arriving via Victoria can take the Victoria Line one stop to Green Park and change on to the Piccadilly Line to continue their journey to Russell Square. Once at the station guests should exit right and walk along Bernard Street, taking the first left on to Brunswick Square. From here guests should take the third right onto Leigh Street and follow the road all the way round to get to the hotel. The walk should take less than 10 minutes. Of course, taxi services are also available from all major airports and railway stations.
Guests arriving by car will find the least convoluted route to involve leaving the M25 at Junction 16 and taking the M4 and subsequently the A40 into central London. Guests should stay on the A40 all the way through central London, passing Regent's Park and taking a right onto Judd Street. Guests should then take the second left and follow the road around.
