The Meininger Hotel London Hyde Park has an enviable position for a budget hostel/hotel, located as it is near to the exclusive district of Knightsbridge and within a stone's throw from the many museums to be found in South Kensington. The nearby Tube stations of Gloucester Road and South Kensington are both on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines and hence offer easy access to the rest of the capital, but guests can just as easily walk to popular nearby attractions such as the Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace and the beginnings of London's illustrious Theatreland. The wide green expanse of Hyde Park is literally at your feet when you step outside of the hotel, and the famous department stores of Harrods and Harvey Nichols are just around the corner - whether you're splurging or just window shopping!
There is WiFi throughout the hotel as well as public computer terminals and telephones, although the latter is subject to an additional charge. The Meininger Hotel London also has a large outdoor terrace with seating that is perfect for overlooking the city rooftops and having barbecues in fine weather, and there is a large lobby area with comfy sofas and armchairs. A free luggage storage room and safes are at guests' disposal, and tickets for local attractions can be bought from reception. Additionally, there is a public washer and dryer within the building.
Underground parking is available at the hotel at a cost of £25 per day, which is not unusual given the prime central location.
