Courthouse Doubletree By Hilton, London
Courthouse Doubletree By Hilton
(100 metres from theatre)

Guest Rating: 67%
Courthouse Doubletree, formerly Courthouse Hotel Kempinski, was once a Magistrates Court, which goes some way to explaining its exceptional grandiosity and the air of history that surrounds it to this day. Many of its historical features are still prevalent, but the mostly modern interiors give guests the best of both worlds.

Sherlock Holmes Hotel by Park Plaza, London

Guest Rating: 80%
You might wonder what business a hotel has sharing its name with a famous 19th century detective. Sherlock Holmes has never lived here (the biggest reason for this being because he's a fictional character) but with the narrow Victorian townhouse facade, open fire and grand, leather armchairs, one gets the feeling that he could well have done. Despite its recent refurbishment the hotel still preserves traces of its past with traditional, wooden floorboards in the hallways.

Sofitel St James London
Sofitel St James London
(1.1 km from theatre)

Guest Rating: 92%
Sofitel St. James is a 5 star luxury hotel inspired by French culture and hospitality. It is in the very centre of London within walking distance of some of the city's most popular attractions.

Radisson Edwardian Berkshire Hotel, London
Radisson Edwardian Berkshire Hotel
(400 metres from theatre)

Guest Rating: 76%
This central London hotel is well located in London's most famous shopping district. It is surrounded by theatres meaning that guests will find themselves entertained both day and night. It is a large 4 star property and what it lacks in intimacy it makes up for with style.

About London Palladium

The London Palladium opened on Boxing Day 1910.  It became famous as the “Ace Variety Theatre of the World” and was the setting for the worldwide hit TV programme Sunday Night at the Royal Palladium.  The theatre has also hosted more Royal Variety Performances than any other venue and put on spectacular pantomimes and musicals.  Anyone who is anyone in the world of entertainment has performed there, including Harry Houdini, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Tommy Steele, Bruce Forsyth and Cliff Richard.  The theatre is now owned by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Group and concentrates on musicals.

The theatre is air conditioned and has 3 licensed bars.  It seats 2,286 over 3 levels.  The Stalls offer clear views up to row T, after which the seats are affected by the overhang from the tier above.  You won’t have any viewing problems at all in the Royal Circle, but the Upper Circle is affected by height and distance from the stage, especially at the back.  The front 2 rows are also a bit restricted by the handrail.

There is a ramped entry to the theatre for disabled patrons and 4 spaces for wheelchair users in the Stalls.  An adapted toilet can be found inside the Ramillies Place entrance, which is an alternative accessible entrance.  There is an infra-red sound amplification system in the auditorium with 30 headsets.

The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus (130m).  There are 2 blue badge parking spaces in Ramillies Place.  Other car drivers can use the Westminster City Council car park at Poland Street or the NCP at Kingly Street.
