| This 4-star modern hotel is centrally located by London Bridge station and minutes away from the Tower Bridge and other London's top attractions. Recently completely refurbished to a high standard (2006), this elegant hotel boasts excellent customer reviews and great transport links just by the hotel. ***LOCATION*** The hotel is conveniently situated just next to the London Bridge station which is served by 2 different tube lines and has direct train links to Gatwick and Luton airports. The Jubilee tube line connects directly to the West End (10mins) where most attractions, shops and nightlife are located as well as to Docklands/Greenwich. The hotel is within 10-min walking distance from Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Tate Modern gallery or the old Borough Market. There are many shops and restaurant in the immediate proximity of the hotel and along the South Bank river promenade. ***EXTERIOR*** The property is an attractive 5-storey traditional Georgian building. ***LEISURE FACILITIES*** The hotel has a fitness centre on the ground floor operated by Fitness First group which offers a gym, sauna, fitness classes and treatments. Please note that the centre is closed on Sundays. ***ROOMS*** Rooms are quite small in size, but very stylishly furnished in a fashion which combines traditional elegance with modern amenities. Rooms feature large, good quality beds, warm colour schemes and dark wood furniture. Rooms also have flat-screen TVs and complimentary bottled water. Bathrooms are new (2006), they feature granite basins and are very clean and well maintained. ***RESTAURANTS &, BARS*** The hotel has 2 restaurants, ",Londonium restaurant", offers modern British cuisine, ",George Town", serves Malaysian, Chinese and Indian cuisine. The ",Borough", is a stylish contemporary bar/restaurant with a separate entrance from the street offering drinks as well as meals and is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring London. Buffet breakfast includes both continental and full English choices. |
