Kew Gardens Hotels

Kew Gardens, south of Ealing and north of Richmond Park, comprises 121 hectares of botanical gardens and glasshouses, a huge manicured expanse holding the world’s largest collection of living plants. A Mecca for botanists and biological scientists, Kew is also a sublimely beautiful place to spend the day whether you’re interested in plants or just want somewhere peaceful and lovely to wile away your time. As a London base, Kew is close enough to the city to be useful while offering a great retreat from the rat race on your doorstep. Most hotels near Kew are clustered in Ealing to the north and Richmond to the south, and range from two to four stars.

The Coach and Horses is the closest to the station, with an enviable location right on Kew Green. An old converted coaching house, The Coach and Horses has three stars and a high customer rating due to its stylish, immaculate rooms and the high-quality gastropub downstairs, which showcases British pub food at its finest.

Even higher-rated with customers is Premier Inn London Kew. Apart from its great location on Kew Green, it doesn’t appear to offer anything vastly different from a standard Premier Inn, with comfortable rooms and a relaxed, professional level of service. However, people obviously like it so it might be worth a shot.

The Chiswick Moran Hotel is the closest four star hotel. The rooms are light and airy, and the lobby and excellent hotel restaurant Napa are well-appointed in dark mahogany. It’s a classy, restrained sort of joint, definitely of interest to anyone looking for a luxurious hotel in Kew.

Kew Gardens is on the District Line, and on the North London branch of the Overground.
