Kensington (Olympia) Hotels

Kensington (Olympia) Station straddles two London boroughs. The southbound platforms are in Kensington and Chelsea, while the northbound are in Hammersmith and Fulham. The area surrounding the station is a mix of these two influences, with the south being more wealthy and prestigious than the north, which is a more multicultural, less affluent area. Olympia hotels can be a great place to stay if you need to be within easy reach of Kensington, Knightsbridge and Central London, but don’t want to have to break the bank.

Closest to the station is the Holland Inn Hotel, a cosy two star family establishment in an Olympia townhouse. Recently refurbished, the Holland Inn’s 26 rooms are very small but perfectly comfortable, and all have en suite facilities.

The Hand & Flower is a small three star hotel above a gastropub on the Hammersmith Road which holds a very high customer rating. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, decorated in muted colours, and the pub downstairs makes a great place to relax.

Probably the best hotel in Olympia is the four star Hilton London Olympia, which keeps up the Hilton chain’s usual high standards of luxury and service. While it’s not on quite the same level as some of London’s five star Hiltons, the Olympia branch boasts a sizeable spa and fitness club, as well as the Plum Grill, which serves international cuisine and a carvery buffet.

Kensington (Olympia) Station is in Zone 2 on the District Line, and also serves National Rail, as well as the Overground on the West London Line.
