Located right on the waterfront, the Ibis London ExCel is a large property with a pleasant view overlooking the London Docklands area, perfect for those visiting the ExCel Exhibition Centre. Its 278 rooms are decorated and furnished to a uniform standard with all of the facilities and amenities that one would expect to find in such a property. The size of the hotel doesn't make for the most personal of services, but its inclusion as part of a popular hotel chain ensures consistently high standards. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast each morning between 6.30 and 10am, whilst in the evenings the cafe offers varying themes, making it convenient for those who have busy days and little time to find dining venues. The bar is open during the day and evening and is the ideal place to meet up with friends or fellow guests, to relax or to socialise.
Being located in the Docklands area the hotel is slightly east of the city centre and very close to the business district of Canary Wharf, making it ideal for guests travelling to the city on matters of business. The Docklands is directly opposite Greenwich and the O2 Arena and the hotel has convenient connections to the centre of London via the DLR (Docklands Light Railway), which takes about 15 minutes to get to the city centre.
