You can find the hotel in Heathrow Terminal 4, uniquely connected via a covered walkway. Direct access to Heathrow Terminal 5 is available through a courtesy shuttle. This is a hotel near Twickenham Stadium and Wembley Arena, for both sporting and music events. For connections to Central London, the Heathrow Express arrives at Paddington station in 20 minutes, but at £16.50 for a single is the more expensive option. A tube will cost between £3-8 depending on zone, but will take up to three times as long. A taxi to shops and attractions in Piccadilly or Oxford Circus can take up to 40 minutes, at a cost of £50.
The shuttle bus departs from Terminal 4 to Terminal 5 every half hour, from 5.30 until 23.30.
The London Heathrow Hilton Hotel is surprisingly spacious and features three restaurants as well as a pool, a beauty salon and luxury health club, which includes a spa and massage service. If you need to hold a meeting, there is a business centre with rooms that hold 200-300 people. This includes the option of video-conferencing. Valet parking is also available, and if you fancy a round of golf, there is even a golf course to enjoy!
There are a total of 395 rooms, all of which contain private bathrooms, satellite TV, a personal safe and a minibar. Room service, wake-up calls and laundry facilities come as standard. The modern, luxurious accommodation also includes air conditioning, blackout windows and soundproof technology (which you’ll need, being so close to an airport!).
The three restaurants in the Hilton Hotel Heathrow London serve a diverse mixture of international cuisine. In the Aromi, you can select from both hot and cold buffets, including continental breakfast and pizza. Oscars, open early morning to late evening, offers a selection of healthy salads and sandwiches. At the Zen Oriental, you can sample Far Eastern delicacies like Szechuan duck and braised prawns. The focal point of Heathrow’s dazzling atrium, however, is the Dancers Bar, which serves a variety of colourful cocktails alongside world beers.
There are highchairs, cots and a children’s menu as well as heated indoor pool. Attractions like Thorpe Park and Legoland are only 15km away. If you want to go somewhere more relaxing, however, the hotel is near the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew, which you can reach on the Piccadilly Line.
There is good disabled access throughout, from pool assistance to multi-functional gym equipment. The hotel is also accessible for wheelchair users.
Follow the signs to Heathrow Terminal 4 on the motorway, taking the third exit at the Terminal 4 roundabout and then an immediate left, which will bring you to the entrance itself.
