The hotel is located in north central London with the West End, Soho and Covent Garden just to the south and an array of other sightseeing opportunities a little further afield. The nearest tube station is King's Cross St. Pancras, which is just a four minute walk away and conveniently also has services to the rest of the UK as well as the Eurostar service. King's Cross St. Pancras underground is on the Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line, Metropolitan Line, Northern Line, Piccadilly Line and Victoria Line.
As budget accommodation, Elmswood does not have a wealth of facilities but it does provide a 24-hour front desk, airport transportation and free WiFi in public areas.
There is limited on-street parking on a first-come, first-served basis.
There are over 35 rooms, all en-suites and decorated with light pastel colours which, in contrast to the hotel's trademark bright red bed linen, creates a warm and lively atmosphere. The rooms come in a variety of sizes including singles, doubles and triples and all include a flatscreen TV, DVD player, free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities for a homely feel.
The hotel provides breakfast each morning from 7.30 to 9.30. No further meals are served throughout the day but, being in the vicinity of King's Cross St. Pancras, guests will find themselves spoilt for choice with local dining options.
Children up to 2 years old may stay free of charge as long as they are sharing a bed with a parent or guardian.
The Elmswood hotel is ideally placed for guests arriving from any of the city's airports as well as St. Pancras International, which is a short walk away. Those arriving through Stansted Airport can take the Thames Silverlink Service to King's Cross, three minutes' walk from the front door. Guests arriving via Heathrow can take the Heathrow Express to Paddington station and those arriving through Gatwick can take the Gatwick Express to Victoria station. Paddington, Liverpool and Victoria train stations are all on the Circle Line and guests should take this to King's Cross St. Pancras, where the hotel is a three minute walk south down Crestfield Street. There are, of course, taxi services available from all airports and train stations.
If arriving by car the most straight-forward route is to leave the M25 at Junction 16 and to take the A40 all the way into central London until it becomes the A501 Euston Road. From here guests should take a right onto Crestfield Street, directly opposite King's Cross St. Pancras.
