No, you haven't come to the wrong place. California Hotel is located in London, though its deceptive name would have you believe otherwise. Some say that the hotel's name was inspired by the city's notoriously sunny weather. Maybe.
When the sun is shining, the 60 rooms of the hotel make the most of it with their light and breezy surfaces, the white walls reflecting sunlight around the room and increasing the illusion of size. The decor is bright and modern with solid colours and all of the amenities that one would expect to find in a hotel of this category. The property is a family run venue giving it an intimate and friendly atmosphere along with years of experience in good service, and bringing a ray of Californian sunshine to the city. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning whilst guests receive a discount on lunches and dinners at the restaurant of the nearby sister hotel, Megaro Boutique Hotel.
By far the hotel's greatest asset is its convenient location. The property is situated at just a 2 minute walk from King's Cross St. Pancras station, which provides guests with access to National Rail services and the Eurostar terminals. The station is also one of the best transport hubs for exploring the city with the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria and Metropolitan Lines all running services through here. These lines go to most of London's popular tourist spots such as Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and The London Eye, and guests can use them to switch onto other lines to access the rest. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel The British Library, The British Museum, The London Zoo and Regent's Park are all within walking distance.

Those arriving to the California Hotel London by air should take the appropriate Express service from the airport to the city of London. The Gatwick Express runs to Victoria station with a journey time of 30 minutes whilst the Heathrow Express takes just half of that to get to Paddington station. Guests arriving at the Victoria and Paddington stations can take the Circle Line from either station to King's Cross St. Pancras where they will be comfortably placed to walk to the hotel. On taking the south exit from the station onto Euston Road guests should turn to their right and walk along the main road. After a short walk guests will see on the other side of the street a road called Belgrove Street, which they should walk down. The hotel is located about halfway down. Alternatively guests can take one of the many taxi services to the hotel, which are available outside all of the city's airports and major train stations.
Guests making their own way to the hotel by vehicle should leave the M25 at Junction 16 and take the M40 and subsequently the A40 towards central London. Guests should stay on the A40 all the way through central London until it becomes the A501 Euston Road. Shortly after passing The British Library guests will notice the turning for Belgrove Street on their right. The hotel is located approximately halfway down the road.
