Academy, The Bloomsbury Town House can be found in the fashionable and attractive part of London known as Bloomsbury, a historically rich area of the city composed of picturesque squares and leafy streets. Originally made famous as the home of the literary Bloomsbury set, the district retains a bohemian feel whilst remaining convenient for many of the capital's most popular tourist attractions including the British Museum, British Library and Charles Dickens Museum. Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Soho are also nearby, with plenty of restaurants, bars and boutique shops to visit during your stay. The West End can be easily reached on footer by rail, with the nearest Tube station being Goodge Street on the Northern line but with several other stations within a 10 minute walk.
Those travelling into the city centre on business can make full use of the hotel's conference facilities, consisting of several meeting rooms with free WiFi and screen. Extras such as a projector, DVD player, television, microphone, printer and laptop can be booked at an additional cost. All share a range of state-of-the-art amenities, and luxury suites even come with their own private garden for an especially intimate and peaceful atmosphere. Despite channelling the look of an 18th century townhouse, each room is equipped with highly modern facilities including air conditioning, personalised business cards, free WiFi access, tea and coffee maker, shoeshine machine, luxury toiletries, hairdryer, turndown service, laptop safe, iPod docking stations, radio, bathrobe and slippers, satellite television, bar, telephone, trouser press and ironing board.
A range of breakfast options are available at an additional cost throughout the week, with service between 7.00am and 10.30am on weekdays and 8.00am and 11.00am at weekends. There is no other restaurant within the hotel, but there are many excellent restaurants and bars in the surrounding area to whet your appetite.
There is a small library within the hotel, reflecting the literary roots of the area.
There are no specially adapted rooms at the hotel, but staff are willing to accommodate disabled guests as best as they can and service animals are permitted to stay with their owners.
