The A to Z Hotel is located in Acton, an unassuming part of West London that whilst not an entertainment or cultural hub itself, does enjoy easy access to some of the most popular tourist spots in the city. The local town centre has lots of shops, restaurants and cafés that can accommodate all budgets, and there is a farmers' market at the weekend. The hotel building is a 3 minute walk from Acton mainline station, which has fast links to Paddington station and thus the Heathrow Express. Acton Town station is 10 minutes away and connects to the rest of London on the Piccadilly line, providing easy access to tourist areas such as Covent Garden and Piccadilly Circus, and North Acton and West Acton tube stations are also a 10 minute walk and connect to the Central line.

The aim of the A to Z Hotel is to provide very cheap accommodation with good central London links, and the rooms reflect this focus on economy. The majority of rooms are small and are decorated with a mixture of furniture and fabrics, without having undergone any recent refurbishment. Nonetheless, each room has an ensuite bathroom and benefits from in-room amenities such as a television and fridge. Occupancy is available as a single, double, twin or triple.
A basic breakfast is included in the room rate and served in the adjoining restaurant, with private access for hotel guests. It comprises of tea, toast, butter, jam and unlimited orange juice, with serving times of between 8.00am and 9.30am. There is no restaurant in the hotel, although there are plenty in the local town centre and within central London.
